The Learning Center (TLC) is an alternative learning environment for students in grades K-8 housed at the EVSC's Culver Family Learning Center. Students are placed at TLC based on results of the student's case conference.
School Hours
TLC hours are 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.
Academics
Students are placed at TLC as the result of their case conference. All students are on a diploma track and follow the same core curriculum as traditional schools except the life skills classroom.
TLC currently has six classrooms for students in grades K-8, including one life skills room. All classrooms are staffed with a lead teacher, behavior technician and a behavior specialist. We also have a social worker on staff to assist students and families.
Students can exit TLC based on the following criteria:
- Safe Body: 100%
- Appropriate Communicate: 80%
- Attendance
- Passing all classes
